Annette and Michael, October 28, 2006

In honor of Nette's birthday week I want to share a few more photos from her wedding and gush over her a bit more. Truly, I have never been to so many parties for one couple in my life.  I, of course, saved every invite and she and Michael have their own three-ring binder at Stone Hill Farm with every birth announcement, thank you note and invitations from their wedding.

The calligraphy alone on their wedding invitation must have made every postal carrier from here to Atlanta swoon!

Their wedding day brunch was so much fun. Annette was there from 11-12 and Michael arrived afterwards. I remember a fabulous sausage breakfast quiche and mimosas.

Her save-the-date was so clever.

The Bridesmaid's Luncheon was stunning. The invite is one of my all time favorites.

Each guest was given a monogrammed handkerchief at their place setting.

The autumn soup was perfect served in a roasted butternut squash.

The clever entree was a pear risotto croquette and orange chicken.

The rust and red flower arrangements were stunning. Nette, wrote an adjective under each place card. She went around the room and thanked each of us for the qualities that our word represented. I still have my card and it says, "Loyal". How sweet is that?

Nette wore the most beautiful gold and rose dress for the rehearsal.

I made her faux bouquet and added "S" Christmas ornaments. I'm clearly saying something hilarious.

It was a great night visiting with some of my favorite of Annette's friends and family.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to turn this photo. So sorry. The menu was wonderful and I love that they served New York cheesecake in honor of Michael.

There was a Sip and See Tea on Thursday night at Annette's parents home.  Love you Lynise and Christy!

When we checked into the hotel on Thursday night there was the most wonderful, themed gift basket with a program for the weekend stuffed in a Coca-Cola six pack bottle box. It was over-the-top fabulous and the little descriptions were too adorable. I know the kids helped out with this. I was happy to have the water after so many parties.

All the bridesmaids were sent a reminder letter from her wedding planner with the who, what, where, when details. It was orchestrated down to the minute. I had my hair done in the hotel and met the girls in Nette's suite. Her dress was a stunning Monique Lhuillier and she wore a veil with an "S" on the train. I love that I went to the ATL to help her find this dress. It was so unique and original, just like my lovely Nette!

We moved the party to the church and put on our finishing touches and had pre-photos.

It is so fun to look back on this photo and see how much the kids have changed in six years!

It was a gorgeous wedding. I can't believe I can't find more photos of the flowers at the reception. There were gorgeous trees with candles hanging over the buffets and stunning arrangements in every corner. Her mother was in a garden club and knew exactly what would look stunning. Stunning doesn't even begin to describe how pretty the reception was.

Michael is a Yankee's fan. The kids got to help cut his groom's cake.

My favorite shot from their wedding!

Save the Date

She invited her girls to the Lake for a fun weekend. I missed it but loved the little poem.

All of Nette's thank you notes and love letters throughout the wedding process are saved in this special binder. The most incredible is that she sent me a letter asking me to be her Maid of Honor. I wish I would have done this for all of my girls. It is so wonderful to go back and re-read these jewels of friendship. They still make me cry!

Annette and her brother on her 40th birthday this past Saturday. Va va va voom!

Love you sweet Nette and hope you are having the most delightful birthday week. You looked amazing on your birthday night and don't look a day over 27. Love your face!

What a beautiful wedding, as was yours! There's nothing like a wonderful group of girlfriends. Great pictorial tribute! (I turn the big 4-0 next summer - here's hoping that I look as good as these gals!)
