The Floral Studio

I was driving down Falls Road and saw this darling cottage lit up beautifully.

I pulled in to take a closer look.

Score! It was a flower shop called The Floral Studio.

The magnolia wreath on the front door was a great sign.

Inside proved tasteful as well. The shop is very similar to the Stone Hill homes and has rafters and exposed stone walls. The owner thinks it may have been the Toll House on Falls Road back in the late 1800s.

They have a squirrel and mouse problem too I see.

There were so many pretty arrangements in the flower case just waiting to be delivered.

Did you know a fresh magnolia wreath will last for four years? This is a creative way to keep them even longer.

The spiral staircase leads upstairs for bridal consultations.

I'd love to have an office like this!

Jack hangs out in the shop.

The back was hopping with holiday decor for events.

I love the creative chaos of floral decorating.

I remembered Katie from Chelle Paperie in Hampden. Yet another Smalltimore moment.

Go visit these wonderfully creative women on Falls Road. Shawn is the owner on the right and they are all so delightful and friendly. Due to technical difficulty, i.e. I'm taking too many photos, I couldn't upload all of this shop's wonderful gifts. They have great felt stockings and wonderful orchids in mint julep cups. Unique wrapping paper and clever gift ideas. Jack the rabbit hangs out with Tom the cat in the shop who are a great welcoming committee.

Deb, who is on the left, lived on my hall in college. Shawn lived in another dorm, so we've all known each other for xx years! they were at the beckett-hitch gig a few weeks ago and had the BEST arrangements.
