Tranquil Tuesday: Pride of Baltimore II

I'm not sure what to do with myself today. It's the first Tuesday in four weeks that I am NOT on the Pride of Baltimore II. Last week was the biggest treat as I got to sail out of Old Town Alexandria for a lunch. Hard work does pay off.

It was a perfect fall day with a chill in the air.

I grew up an hour from Lake Michigan. We sailed sunfishes, kayaked and had friends with motor boats. I've only been sailing twice and both were on The Pride of Baltimore II. The sound of the water being displaced by she ship is something I crave now. The silence is addicting. I want to learn to sail and friends have offered to teach us. I'm ready when you are friends!

You can see the Washington Monument in the distance.

Enjoy this Tuesday wherever you are. Hopefully it includes a sail for some of you!
