During the snow days a few weeks ago I kept myself busy baking and rearranging all of the artwork at Stone Hill. I wanted to put a spin on a traditional Blondie by adding milk chocolate syrup. They turned out really well.
Mix the first two ingredients in a stand mixer;
1 cup of packed brown sugar
1 stick of butter, melted
Add:
Add:
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup flour
large pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/5 oz of chocolate chips (one bag)
1 cup pecans
1/2 cup of oats
A few drizzles of Hershey's syrup
Spray or grease a 9x9 pan and pour in mixture
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

The best trick to cutting brownies straight is to use a plastic knife when they come straight from the oven. Works every time.
Wishing you a very Happy Valentine's Day. I hope it is sweet!
